Norwalk celebrates the Fourth a little early
Norwalk will be celebrating Independence Day with entertainment and fireworks a little sooner this year.
The kids will be entertained with ‘The Amazing Andy Show’ to start things off in the evening. A half hour later, everyone will be dancing to the music of DJ Nuzzo.
Two hours afterward, the Norwalk Recreation and Parks is presenting ‘BonJourney’, a high-energy New York band that blends the music of Journey and Bon Jovi along with other ‘80s rock classics. Some of their standards are ‘Living on a Prayer’, ‘Faithfully’, and ‘Don’t Stop Believing’.
Fans of this group will be getting the band’s promotional products such as T-shirts and long-sleeve hoodies with the band’s graphic design on the BonJourney website before July 4 so they can wear the apparel to the event.
The part of the evening everyone will be waiting for – the fireworks – will begin as soon as it gets dark.
With Norwalk’s celebration on July 3, there will still be time to head out to Bethel for their 52nd John DeMille Annual Firecracker Road Race on July 4 or on to Madison for their 4th of July Parade.
Norwalk’s Fireworks and Entertainment evening will be July 3 starting at 5:30 pm at Calf Pasture Beach on Calf Pasture Beach Road. If the weather does not cooperate, the rain date is set for Thursday, July 5.
