NICE Fest returns to Norwalk
The summer family-friendly 8th annual Norwalk International Cultural Exchange NICE Fest will be returning to Norwalk in early July. Over 6000 people are expected to attend this free event.
Various international cultures will be represented through artistic expression, food, arts and crafts and music. More than 50 Vendors will be selling international food from trucks and booths, arts and crafts, commercial products and services, while nonprofits, health and education organizations will be passing out business cards with information about their missions and services.
More than 24 live performances will take place on the venue's two stages. Some performers will include guitarist TAZ, Eclectic contemporary concert pianist Ophelia Handberry, Aztec drummers Kalpulli Huehuetlahtolli, and Norwalk native singer and guitarist Riki Stevens.
From noon to 5:30 pm, the venue will offer family-friendly and children's hands-on art activities.
Volunteers are needed for traffic and safety, greeters, reception and donations, vendor assistance, stagehands, clean up, and merchandise booths.
Sponsors are still needed for the Main and Child of the World stages, International Food Court, and Arts and Crafts Row. Presenting Sponsors that have the four promotional banners, the Lamp Post Banner sponsor, and feather flag banner sponsors will have to get their logo design to the organizers before any banner printing begins.
The 8th annual NICE Fest will be from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm July 6th at Oyster Shell Park.
