What's Happening in Norwalk, CT…

Holiday season begins with gifts, giving, and music

Three upcoming events will certainly help usher in Norwalk’s holiday season.

American Legion Post 12 will be holding its annual Holiday Craft Fair and Tree Lighting at the end of November. The Craft Fair will not only have handmade, one-of-a-kind, and holiday-themed items for sale, but will also have food for purchase and music.

At 5:00 pm, everyone will turn their attentions to the tree lighting ceremony. Music will take the form of Christmas carols and Santa will make an appearance.

The Craft Fair will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and the Tree Lighting will start at 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 26. The American Legion Post 12 is located at 60 County Street.

Soon after, Mamma Bella Cucina will be giving everyone an opportunity to donate unwrapped toys to a Holiday Toy Drive. Guests will be treated to games, raffles, happy hour specials, and networking. A photo booth will be available to capture the holiday spirit.

People attending networking events around holidays often get some custom business card printing done with colors and images representing the season. The Holiday Drive will take place Saturday, December 2 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at 19 N Water Street.

Finally, Holiday Pops will be presenting its annual concert the next day. The program will include baroque compositions, Nutcracker dances, carols, Christmas classics, Hanukkah songs, and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.

Holiday Pops will be Sunday, December 3 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Norwalk City Hall, 125 East Avenue.
