Holiday music comes to Norwalk
Norwalk will have three holiday musical moments over the next few weeks.
The Word Alive Choir will be singing Christmas carols as part of the one-hour Norwalk American Legion’s free Tree Lighting on the American Legion Post 12 front lawn. This is at 60 County Street and will be on Sunday, November 27th starting at 6:00 pm.
Norwalk Symphony Orchestra will present its annual Joys of the Season. This will be an evening of seasonal favorites such as Jingle Bells, traditional carols, and traditional holiday music such as excerpt from the Nutcracker. This will take place December 4 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Norwalk Concert Hall, 125 East Avenue.
Larger companies often give orchestra season tickets as corporate gifts to their top employees.
Rhonda Vincent will bring “A Christmas Bluegrass Celebration” to the Wall Street Theater, 71 Wall Street, on Friday, December 9 beginning at 8:00 pm. Inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2020, Vincent is a product of five generations of musicians and has been entertaining audiences with vocals since she was five years old, mandolin since she was eight, and the fiddle at twelve.
On December 11, beginning at 7:00 pm Wall Street Theater, Holiday in a Jazz will be at the Ballroom Holiday Revue. Comedian Christian Finnegan will host a two-hour sophisticated presentation of Hollywood and Broadway classic holiday tunes played by some of New York’s talented musicians and vocalists.
