Area holds Irish jigs and egg hunt

The Norwalk area will be dancing jigs and hunting for eggs in mid-March.

For all adult leprechauns and St. Patrick's Day revelers, a Weekend of Shamrock Shenanigans will offer three days of Irish food, drinks, dancers and music. Entertainment for the Friday evening will be Tangled Vine, and Saturday night’s attendees will be treated to Irish dancers plus the Rock Paper Soul band. For Sunday, the stage will be turned over to The Night Visitors, and the Greenwich Pipe Band.

314's Irish Jig Jam will take place March 15 through 17 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at 314 Wilson Avenue.

Families are also invited to attend an Easter Eggventure offering spring activities including an egg hunt for children from newborn to 10 years old. A Spring Craft Station will have everyone decorating mini pots and planting Spring flower seeds. Easter games will include egg balancing and bunny hopping. An egg hunt will begin at noon, where whoever finds the golden egg will win a special prize.

The event will begin at 11:30 am, the hunt will be at noon. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will begin at 12:15 pm and everything should end around 1:00 pm.

Families often dress in their Easter finest and get pictures taken with the Easter Bunny at events such as this. These pictures often go to local print shops to be added to spring family newsletters.

The Easter Eggventure will be Saturday, March 23 at Mill Hill Historic Park.
