Revitalization project to come to Greenwich

Construction has begun on a premier restaurant in Greenwich as part of a $30 million revitalization project to be known as Greenwich Crossing.

Banner printing is often used at such sites to inform residents of such projects and their importance for a town.

This new restaurant will span 5,000 square feet and feature expansive outdoor seating and large sliding glass doors. This is the first phase of the development that will include renovated retail spaces along Railroad Avenue and a transformed Greenwich Train Station, the goal of which is to revitalize the area. The project is being developed by the Ashforth Company.

The train station will be designed to be more welcoming and there will be modernized mixed-use space, new pathways for commuters and pedestrians, and improved access to the train platform. The existing storefronts will also be renovated, and new tenant spaces and retail storefronts will be created to connect the trains station to the streetscape of Greenwich Avenue. The entire project is expected to cost $30 million.

There will also be landscaped space at the corner of Steamboat Road and Railroad Avenue that will surround the anchor restaurant and provide access for the public to the Metro-North platform.

The renovation of the train station is expected to begin in May 2025 and the entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall of that year.
