Greenwich to host month-long holiday festival

The Greenwich Reindeer Festival and Santa’s Workshop will be returning to Greenwich at the end of this month.

This event will be held at Sam Bridge Nursery and Greenhouse, and is being presented by Jenny Allen and Kristen Studwell of Compass Real Estate. Such festive events can turn to poster printing to promote themselves throughout a town and its neighboring communities.

The nursey will feature a visit from Santa Claus and three live reindeer. Visitors can meet the reindeer, have their pictures taken with Santa Claus and enjoy a special Santa Workshop. There will also be a Reindeer Coloring Station and letter writing to Santa on offer.

Part of the proceeds from the pictures with Santa Claus will be donated to Kids In Crisis, which is a Greenwich-based non-profit organization that serves the entire state. Visitors can also donate to support its mission through the Kids In Crisis Giving Tree.

Parking is free. Dogs on leashes are also welcome and can have their pictures taken with Santa too. On Saturdays, dogs and their humans will receive a Doggy Gift bag. On the opening two days of the festival, there will be a “We’re Back Party Days” celebration. There will be balloon artists, special refreshments, food trucks, live entertainment, specialty vendors, and many other fun activities that will continue through the next day.

This event will run from Friday, November 28 through Wednesday, December 24.
