This project will have 120 units, of which 40% will be considered affordable housing. Market rate will be charged for the remaining 60%. Features of the apartment units will include ceilings reaching 10 feet high and windows from floor to ceiling. Nearly a third (30%) of the units will have three bedrooms, while the majority will have two bedrooms.
The project will have two buildings, each of which will be six stories tall. It will also have modern amenities and features but when completed it will blend into the aesthetics of the town. Brochure printing is one way to highlight the special features of such projects and the benefits they provide for the community.
Phil Wharton from developer Nimbus Properties said the project is for residents of Greenwich who are employed by downtown businesses but live elsewhere, as well as others who are looking to downsize. He commented:
“The people that work in this building and in other buildings that are close to the downtown will not only be able to live where they work, they can potentially walk to work. People that currently work in Greenwich, but don't live in Greenwich, that's 80% of the Greenwich workforce. It's more than 25,000 people.”
The project is expected to be completed in 2028.
