Pizzeria and ice cream shop to open in Greenwich
What was once the Stateline Deli in Greenwich will soon be transformed into an ice cream shop and pizzeria.
Constantino’s will be opened in the space by Robyn and Michael Bordes. The eatery will serve sandwiches, salads, several types of pizzas, Italian-inspired entrees and pasta, and ice cream for dessert. Ice cream will be available by the pint, quart, or scoop, offering a variety of flavors, including Italian ice. There will be about 12 seats inside the restaurant as it will focus primarily on takeout and delivery. Local print shops can often help in printing up such menus to facilitate ordering by guests.
The focus of the menu will be on pizza, offering veggie, basic cheese, Buffalo chicken, and the signature of the eatery, a four-corner Sicilian style baked in a smaller pan that ensures the edge pieces are crispy and desirable. The wedge sandwich offerings will include chicken cutlet and chicken parmesan while the pasta dishes will range from lasagna to baked ziti. Also on the menu will be hearty entrees like chicken scarpariello and eggplant parmesan. There will also be several vegan options served.
Robyn expressed her excitement about opening the restaurant, named for her late father. She and her husband, along with her brother, will be running the restaurant.
The restaurant is expected to open next month.
