The Ephemera Fair, a celebration of paper items that were not designed to have endured over time but have since become collectible objects, will be coming to Greenwich later this month.
As a family-friendly and unique destination for shopping, browsing and learning more about such items as advertising and Promotional Products, Posters, Holiday Cards, historical documents, and many other handwritten and printed materials. Some of the highlights expected to be at the show include 100 pages of sheet music with a food theme from the 1900s; five pages of Braille pages typed by Helen Keller on a Braille typewriter; and various archive materials.
Other featured items from vendors will be vintage advertising; original movie scripts, music scores and manuscripts; and daguerreotypes, cabinet cards and stereo-views. There will also be Catalogs, maps, and broadsides.
According to the producer of The Ephemera Fair, Marvin Getman, this is an event for people who would not normally collect these items. This fair is like walking through history and people usually leave with one or two items that interest them. Attendees have the opportunity to see how people lived before the age of technology, long before computers and smartphones were the primary tools used for communication and correspondence.
The Ephemera Fair will be held on Saturday March 19 and Sunday March 20 at the Hyatt Regency in Old Greenwich.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Holiday Cards Get a Free Quote for Catalogs Get a Free Quote for Posters
