New rehabilitation center opens in Greenwich

A new state-of-the-art sports rehabilitation center has opened its doors in Greenwich, courtesy of Stamford Health and the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Orthopedics.

The two organizations will expand their collaboration and provide outpatient physical therapy services and orthopedic care to patients in the southwestern part of the state.

The new rehabilitation center is 1,200 square feet in size and offers new equipment to meet the needs of all patients, including ankle and foot conditions, injuries to hands and the upper extremities, and joint replacement. There are also two physical therapists who work full-time.

HSS Health Director of Rehabilitation Services, Justin Clark, PT, DPT, commented that the new center in Greenwich enables the extension of their outpatient rehabilitation services to four locations convenient for its patients. Patients of all levels of activity and ages are treated at the centers, which also treat those who are trying to avoid surgery, may have already had it, or are anticipating it.

Sports rehabilitation is offered at three other locations: at Chelsea Piers and at the Tully Health Center (both in Stamford) and at the YMCA in New Canaan.

The Tully Health Center also offers outpatient surgery and Stamford Hospital has an inpatient surgical unit.

Such new services could benefit from brochure printing to provide more detailed information about specific offerings and treatments.
