A grand opening celebration was recently held for the opening of the Chocoylatte Gourmet in Greenwich, a gourmet dessert and coffee shop.
In attendance were State Representative Fred Camillo and First Selectman Peter Tesei. Tesei expressed his pleasure that owners Kelly Dantas and her husband, Ken Mahoney, have selected Cos Cob in Greenwich for their unique dessert café. This will become a place where people can get together, he added, as he wished them success in operating their family business.
Dantas said she has been planning and working on this shop for the past five years. She commented that she is happy to be in the community and wants to ensure that her customers like what she is offering. Owners of such shops often turn to printing services to create materials so that customers can learn of their offerings and unique characteristics.
The shop has been renovated to resemble a European-style café. Dante has said it was designed in a traditional manner, and it has a 60-inch chandelier that was custom-made from teacups and a chocolate fountain reaching eight feet high.
Dante said the shop is designed for grab and go experiences, with a large selection of cookies, candies, chocolates, and other dessert items being offered. Beverages will include fresh juices, hot chocolate, flavored coffee creations, and regular coffee.
