The Bruce Museum in Greenwich is now opened and will be presenting a special video talk on contemporary street art next week.
Street art is considered a democratic form of art where artists paint murals on mostly unknown buildings and display messages to the community on billboards. The talk, part of the Museum’s monthly series that highlights though leaders in the sciences and the arts, will feature five artists of this genre in a conversation about their work. Flyer printing can be used to inform residents of such a unique talk.
The five panelists make up a diverse selection of artists who will discuss their work and its impact on the art world and the community. The panelists will be:
• Epic Uno, who specializes in package design and corporate identity, graffiti, and illustration
• Jahmane, who works on large-scale murals and is involved in fashion design and photography
• Yedi Fresh, who also works on murals and does painting, illustration, and digital art
• Ana De Orbegoso, who specializes in multimedia
• Holly Danger, a video artists and experiential designer
The Executive Director of the Greenwich Arts Council, Tatiana Mori, will also name Uno and Fresh as the first two members in the Museum’s Artists-in-Residence program.
This talk will be from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on Thursday, July 9 via video calling tool Zoom. It will be moderated by Leonard Jacobs, producer of the Bruce Presents series, and artist-curator Ben Quesnel.
