Greenwich hosts summer filled with activities

Several events will be taking place in Greenwich over the summer.

Such events can be promoted throughout a town and neighboring communities with poster printing.

The American 250 Greenwich effort will launch to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the country and the role of Greenwich in American history. This will be a celebration that will last all year and is being done in collaboration with the Greenwich Historical Society. It will start on Independence Day with festivities at Town Hall and a visit from a tall ship. Additional activities will feature educational programs, exhibitions and community events.

The annual Sidewalk Sale days, a major shopping event in town, will be coming to downtown Greenwich. There will be close to 100 retailers offering special promotions and sales. This will take place from Thursday July 10 through Sunday July 13.

The annual summer reading program of the Perrot Memorial Library is currently underway for kids, teenagers, and adults. The kids’ summer reading program enables children to earn prizes based on the number of Books they read. For every book read by a teenager they are entered into weekly drawings for gift cards from local businesses while adults receive an entry in the grand prize raffle.

The summer reading program runs until Friday August 1 for kids and until Sunday August 31 for teenagers and adults.
