Greenwich to hold fall festival

The annual Fall Festival of the Greenwich Historical Society will be held this weekend.

Featured activities will be Too Blue, a popular bluegrass swing band, performing throughout the day as well as a scavenger hunt during the afternoon hours, the telling of stories, and the making of scarecrows. There will be food and beverages available for purchase. Banner printing is often used throughout a community to promote and advertise such events.

Director of Education for the Greenwich Historical Society, Anna Marie Greco, said that the Festival is a tradition in the community that everyone looks forward to in the fall. She added that the organization has received a great deal of support in the past and expects a good turnout this year.

Tickets for individuals are $10 for members and $15 for non-members, while the price for families is $35 for members and $50 for non-members. These fees include one kit for making a scarecrow.

The mission of the Greenwich Historical Society is to preserve and interpret the history of the town, to strengthen the connection of the community to its past, and other to look towards its future by collecting and chronicling the history of the town.

The Festival will be held this Saturday, October 3. Two sessions will be held—one from noon to 1:30 pm and another from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
