Greenwich to celebrate filming industry

A special screening of ‘Entourage’ was recently held to kick off the Greenwich International Film Festival, which is all set to start.

The movie was shown at the Railroad Avenue Theater, complete with a red carpet. According to Colleen deVeers, Wendy Stapleton Reyes, and Carina Crain, co-founders of the festival, it was quite a thrill to have this extremely popular and fun and exciting film to start the festival. Ellin and Scott Feinberg of The Hollywood Reporter were on hand after the screening for a question-and-answer session.

The festival will take place over a period of four days and feature films, panel discussions, and parties. The current schedule includes 31 movies from 10 countries. Competitions will be held for documentary, narrative feature, and social impact movies. Film categories include narrative shorts, documentary shorts, and special screenings.

The Changing Face of Television, Social Impact, and Women in Production are some of the panel discussions on the schedule.

The festival will take place from June 4 to June 7 at the Bow City Cinemas—Theaters 1, 2, and 3, as well as Miller Motorcars and the Cole Auditorium at the Greenwich Library. Organizers of the festival are certain to have turned to several Print companies to help with printing film and panel schedules, maps of the location, and information about where to stay, dine, and shop.
