Greenwich becomes home to healthy acai bowl shop

SoBol, an eatery that focuses primarily on selling acai bowls and smoothies, recently opened in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich.

This is the 18th location of the chain in the tristate area and the first one in Connecticut. Its co-owners are Michael and Shera Stein, who live in Greenwich, and Scott Rosenberg, who runs other SoBol shops in the state.

Michael Stein had been running his own company, Hudson Engineering and Consulting, for over 10 years and decided he wanted to branch out into the food industry. After he, his wife, and children tasted the offerings at three different SoBol locations, he decided that opening such a shop in Greenwich was what he wanted to do while still running his engineering company, and something he and his wife could do together.

The shop is in The Hub, in the commercial district of Cos Cob, and in a space that once was the home for a Robeks Juice. The Steins and Rosenberg renovated the space, which now is now like a hangout at the beach, reminiscent of the popularity of the acai berry among Brazil’s surfer community.

For new restaurants dealing with so-called ‘superfoods’, flyer printing companies can be used to Print materials describing the health benefits of acai berries, and other foods that are planned to be served in the future.
