New expanded hours for Aurora library and recreation centers

The Aurora City Council has shown unanimous acceptance of scheduling changes for the libraries and recreation centers in the city.

Director of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department for the city, Brooke Bell, said that most recreation centers will be offering expanded hours.

The Central Recreation Center will be open on weekdays for 15 hours, and for slightly shorter hours on Saturdays and Sundays. The Beck Recreation Center will be open on weekdays for 13 hours, and for eight hours on Saturdays, with only rental available on Sundays.

Printed materials are often created by local Print shops with more details about such hours of operation.

The Aurora Center for Active Adults will be open on weekdays from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm for rentals and programs on Saturday, and only for rentals on Sunday. The Utah Pool will be open on weekdays from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on the weekends.

The director of cultural services at the library, Midori Clark, said that regularly scheduled hours will continue at most branches while the hours of the larger Tallyn’s Reach and Central libraries will be open an additional hour in the morning starting at 9:00 am. Opening will be extended by an additional two hours Mondays through Thursdays, running until 8:00 pm.
