A community open house is being held later this month by the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project partnering with the Aurora-South Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the city of Aurora.
This open house will provide members of the community to learn more about the project, discuss available resources for small businesses, and understand what can be expected during construction. There will be representatives from the SBDC, the city of Aurora, and two nonprofits focused on enhancing Colfax Avenue, the East Colfax Community Collective and The Fax Partnership. It will also have activities for kids and light refreshments.
The BRT project continues the work that was started to replace the existing 15L and 15 buses in Denver and save riders on the buses up to a half hour of travel time from Union Station to the R Line Station at Interstate 225.
Construction of the Aurora portion of the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit project is expected to begin this spring. More details about such projects can also be made available to the community with flyer printing.
The open house will be at Manos Sagrados on E. Colfax Avenue on Wednesday February 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The open house will also provide an opportunity to learn more about how to Back The Fax! And to pick up a Fax Pass.
