Residents of the city of Aurora now have access to a new online portal that provides services to customers of development, planning, and building.
Services will be rolled out in phases. The first phase will offer pre-application services for the Office of Development Assistance and community and neighborhood group registration. The next phase will offer services related to land development.
This new pre-application process will provide a more streamlined method for customers for requesting a pre-application meeting, keeping track of the progress of their request for a meeting, and enabling them to review notes from their meeting. Although online registration for community and neighborhood groups was previously available on the city of Aurora’s web site, the registration process will be moving to the new portal where groups can register, renew their registration, or update any contact information in the portal.
Phases to be rolled out in the future will include the addition of other online services for commercial businesses related to code enforcement, temporary use permits, public review and comment of development projects, and planning and development.
Flyer printing can be used to inform residents of such new offerings and provide more details on their use and benefits.
This new online portal is part of the Development Process Improvement Plan of the city to enhance review capabilities, streamline processes, and provide better service for customers.
