The Strategic and Facilities Master Plan of the Aurora Public Library has been launched.
This is an initiative that will structure the future of the library, reflecting a commitment to fostering lifelong learning, expanding access to resources, and serving as a vibrant hub for the community.
As part of this plan, the library will assess the usage and conditions of its existing facilities, identify capital improvements needed, and plan for space requirements in the future. Also in the plan is a thorough evaluation of the current and future needs of the library, including its services, facilities, and overall impact on the community. It will provide a guide that ensures that the goals, values, and vision of the library align with the diverse and growing population of Aurora.
Community needs assessment will be part of the master planning process. This will gather feedback from residents, bring leaders of the library together to set a strategic direction, and engage with key stakeholders. The library is encouraging all residents, whether they are active users of the library or not, to contribute to this feedback by participating in a survey designed to better understand the expectations and priorities of residents. Flyer printing can be used to spread the word about such surveys.
