A second location of Parlor Doughnuts is now open in Aurora.
Sean Harshbargar opened the first location of the doughnut shop in Colorado in Denver in February. There are other locations of the chain in Texas, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida.
The specialty of Parlor Doughnuts is layered doughnuts made from croissant dough. Their layered dough makes for a flaky sweet finish. There are 20 different flavors of these doughnuts some of which include cookies n’ cream, strawberry shortcake, and French toast, which is the most popular one in the shop. Also offered at the shop are doughnuts for dogs, keto doughnuts, fresh pressed juices, and doughnut milkshakes in which any doughnut can be mixed into the shake.
The menu include breakfast items such as a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on an un-sugared doughnut and avocado toast. The coffee served at the shop is roasted by the company’s headquarters in Evansville. Menus of such items are often created by local printing services.
Harshbargar is hoping to open a total of five doughnut shops in the state, potentially another one in Denver and one in Boulder or some other mountain town.
Parlor Doughnuts is on Lincoln Street in a space that was once home to Spur Coffee. It is 1,700 square feet in area and opened from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week.
