The city of Aurora is in the process of launching its new online portal and some new services have recently been added with more planned for the near future.
Now available is the ability to request water floodplain development permits. Also available are temporary use permits, film permits, and temporary sign permits. Temporary sign permits are required for the display of home builder Signs and pennants while temporary use permits are required for activities that take place on a street and will interfere with vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Film permits are needed for any video, photography activity, student-produce, commercial, and non-commercial film that takes place within the city limits.
Also available on the portal are pre-application services, neighborhood and community group applications, and small cell and fiber licensing.
Local Print shops can help make residents aware of such new services with Flyers and other printed materials.
Planned for next month are applications and renewals for an arborist license and permits for block parties and donation bins. There will be additional services that will be rolled out in the coming months.
Plans for the future of the portal include adding other commercial business services related to planning, development, building, and code enforcement; public review and comment on development projects; and Aurora Water business services.
These improvements are part of the Development Process Improvement Plan pf the city to enhance review capabilities, streamline processes, and provide better customer service.
