West Sacramento welcomes new mental health clinic

A new facility that will provide mental health care on an outpatient basis has opened its doors in West Sacramento.

The new program was set up by Heritage Oaks Hospital, and it will be undertaken at its new care center which has been built at 2945 Ramco Street. Its goal is to help people with mental health issues receive the treatment they need so they can avoid having to stay in the hospital, and also to help those who are leaving the inpatient care system to transition back into community life.

An additional goal of the new facility is to provide those who are experiencing a mental health with an alternative to the traditional emergency room. Each year, more than 1,600 who are experiencing mental health issues wind up in an emergency room because they have no other place to go. A company that provides marketing services can use them to create a variety of Promotional Products that let the public know about this new care option, as well as how and where they can access it.

Along with emergency services, one of their initiatives is the implementation of a stepdown style program that will help those who have been receiving psychiatric care on an inpatient basis to adapt to living in the community. It will provide them with the skills and confidence to be able to do so successfully.

So far, five staff members have been offered positions, and more will be hired as they are needed.
