West Sacramento celebrates womens history through art

West Sacramento’s Gallery 1075 is hosting a Women’s History Month Art Show this March.

Featuring local artists, the annual event features both a month-long exhibit at the Gallery 1075 and a free art reception at the West Sacramento Community Center.

The reception, which includes light refreshments, features the opportunity to not only meet with other community members, but the artists themselves, as a show of support. There is a parking lot at the Arthur F. Turner Yolo County Library, with the community center parking spaces located to the right.

In terms of the month-long art exhibit, Gallery 1075 is open Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm each day. Parking may be limited along West Capitol Avenue, though the Community Center and City Hall may have alternative options. The entrance to the gallery can be found on the south side of the building next to the Community Center parking lot.

Gallery 1075 is a low-cost exhibit space specifically designed to highlight emerging regional artists.

Art exhibits like this may choose to use Stationery printing for display descriptions, directional signage or promotional materials.

The Women’s History Month Art Show is happening March 9-31 at Gallery 1075 at 1075 West Capitol Ave in West Sacramento. The art reception is happening on March 12 6 pm - 8 pm at the West Sacramento Community Center.
