The River Fox Train in West Sacramento will be organizing a month-long riding experience in October for families.
The Pumpkin Patch Express is a yearly celebration created by the River Fox Train, where families can enjoy a day filled with autumn-themed activities. The trip will take guests to a private park where they can trick-or-treat and choose a personal pumpkin to bring home. Children will also get to decorate their trick-or-treat Bags while riding on the train. Light snacks and beverages can be bought during the expedition, and alcohol will be available to buy for the parents.
The River Fox Train's track was initially constructed in 1911 to transport passengers between West Sacramento and Woodland. The train offers passengers amenities like small airplane-style bathrooms and a concession booth. All locomotives used by the company are diesel-powered, and the train can accommodate up to 300 guests. Several events are held on the River Fox Train, such as mystery dinners and corporate parties. Organizations with fun programs like this may use flyer printing for sharing their activities with the public.
The Pumpkin Patch Express experience will be available starting October 2 and will continue until October 31. The trip costs $49 for adults and $29 for children 12 and younger. Infants who are two or younger will only need to pay $10 to ride the train. All activities at the private park are included in the ticket price.
