The Midas of West Sacramento is hosting a Turkey Giveaway event this fall.
The limited giveaway, intended to provide Thanksgiving turkeys to families, is available while supplies last. While the event is free, it does require registration online beforehand by filling out a simple form.
The event takes place at the Midas of West Sacramento – a business that specializes in oil changes, car repairs, and brake replacements – in a shopping district west of the Sacramento River, and just a few blocks from the baseball field and concert venue Sutter Health Park.
The Midas is also a short walk from Westacre Park, whose amenities include a playground, soccer and tennis fields, and areas for skateboarding and rock climbing.
The event is made possible thanks to sponsorships from Midas West Sacramento, Grocery Outlet Bargain Market and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8762, the latter of which is a grassroots organization that hosts programs and services that support local veterans and their families. Other events they host around the community include veterans benefit guidance sessions, bingo night, and cornhole contests at their West Sacramento-based headquarters off of Drever Street.
Food events like this may choose to use banner printing to create venue Signs.
The Turkey Giveaway event is happening on Tuesday, November 24 from 10:00 am to noon at Midas at 853 Jefferson Blvd in West Sacramento.
