The Yolo County Library will be honoring Juneteenth this year by organizing a virtual celebration in West Sacramento.
The Virtual Juneteenth Celebration is a family-friendly event where people join together to honor the oldest African American holiday and celebrate the end of slavery. There will be several online activities to view, including educational presentations, a fashion show, and live entertainment. An official link to the celebration site will be available closer to the event’s date. People can help support the activity by making a virtual donation or becoming a sponsor.
The website will be showcasing many vendors during the celebration. Businesses interested in becoming part of the experience must first be pre-approved by Sandy Holman. All participating stores are required to have a website that the event watchers can visit. Each virtual space will cost companies $50. Organizations attending online festivals similar to this may use Logo Design services to showcase their brand.
The Juneteenth celebration will be held on June 6th from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. All performances and presentations during the event will be free for the community to watch. Businesses that want to apply for a virtual slot must be approved by May 14. There will be no refunds for the event. More updates about Juneteenth will be posted in the future on the festival’s webpage.
