Law enforcement chaplains provide comfort and support to individuals and families during times of crisis, and the public in West Sacramento will soon have an opportunity to return the favor.
During Run with the Cops and K9 Foot Pursuit, people will be able to take part in a fun run, and it will not be timed. People can choose to run, walk, or roll, and there will be lots more going on as well. There will be live demonstrations by the K9 units and other law enforcement professionals, as well as food to enjoy. An assortment of prizes will be awarded, and there will be lots of time for the public to meet with and mingle with members of the local police department in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
The proceeds of the day will be used to help support the work of Law Enforcement Chaplaincy-Sacramento, which supports people in crisis as well as law enforcement families, and a portion will also be allocated to the Sacramento Police K9 association. Each person who registers will receive a specially designed T-shirt, and items like this can be supplied by an area Print company.
