The Breathe California Sacramento Region will be holding an event in West Sacramento to kick off Bike Month, which is May.
The Breathe Bike Rodeo is a community program to encourages people to use bicycles. During the event, attendees can view live safety demonstrations, listen to musical performances, and complete a family-friendly bicycle course. Visitors can also have their heads fitted for helmets and browse local vendors. The program will be held at the West Sacramento River Walk Trail and is open to all people who live in the Sacramento Region.
The Breathe California Sacramento Region is a non-profit organization that combats severe lung threats by creating educational materials and developing clean energy programs. One of the first projects of the group was fighting against the use of tobacco among young people by supporting their efforts to quit and advocating for no-smoking areas in public spaces. The group also helped phase out rice straw burning in Sacramento Valley.
The bike rodeo will be on Sunday, April 30 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no cost for families to enter the bike fest. People who want to support the organizer may assist with administration needs or review movies for tobacco influence research. Organizations that hold community activities similar to this can use flyer printing to generate more interest in their fests.
