The West Sacramento Community Center will host an event in October to celebrate the city’s diversity.
Arts in the Heart is a community program where residents can come together to help showcase the city’s multicultural pride. Attendees can watch family-friendly musicians and dancers perform, and there will also be hands-on art activities. Organizations from the community will have booths for guests to check out during the festival. Other activities at the celebration include decorating sugar skulls, making chalk art, and visiting the art show at Gallery 1075.
The West Sacramento Community Center is a venue which hosts several programs. Many activities for seniors are held at the center, including field trips, coloring classes, and group exercise sessions. There is even a senior lounge in the building. The West Sacramento Historical Society maintains an exhibit at the center with an interactive video station. The facility is also home to the Black Box Theater, which is a rentable theater space hosting live shows.
The diversity celebration will be held on Saturday, October 14 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The event is free to the residents of West Sacramento. No registration is needed for coming to the program. A parking lot for guests is located behind the community center’s building. Organizations wishing to promote similar cultural celebrations can use banner printing to share these festivals with more people.
