West Sacramento to hold electrical art festival

The Square Root Academy will be hosting its 5000 Watts Electrical Art Festival at Drake’s: The Barn in West Sacramento shortly.

5000 Watts is a family-friendly festival where attendees can see a vibrant combination of art and technology created by local artists. The exhibition is a fundraiser for the Square Root Academy, providing funding for their Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programming. Businesses that host events such as this can use flyer printing to create ads that can get locals interested.

The Square Root Academy is a non-profit organization that aims to engineer equality in STEM-related fields. The group exclusively works with low-income communities to assist children by offering beneficial enrichment programs and a support system. With the help of the fundraiser, the academy hopes to branch out into two more school districts in Sacramento. The organization hopes to reach 5,000 students by the 2019-2020 school year.

5000 Watts will be held from October 4 to October 5. The festival will start at 6:30 pm and end at 11:00 pm. General admission into the event will cost $25 per person, though all youth will receive free entry when accompanied by their parent. VIP tickets will also be available for $100, which will include a T-shirt and vouchers for food and drinks. Ticket sales will conclude on October 4.
