The winter holiday season is on the way, and to celebrate the spirit of the occasion, West Sacramento will be hosting a special celebration.
The West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce and the city itself will be teaming up to host the festivities. The evening will kick off with free refreshments and other treats, which the crowd can enjoy while they take in performances provided by youth choirs from the local area. A banner printing company will be able to provide a wide assortment of customized holiday decorations that are made from materials that can be used outdoors for an event like this.
Santa will also be coming to the party, and in honor of his visit, the local fire department will be giving him a ride on one of their firetrucks. Once he has greeted the crowd, the younger folk will be able to sit on his lap and share their wish list. While they are there, they can have their photo taken to keep as a memento of the event.
Mayor Cabaldon will be lighting the tree, which will be decorated with hundreds of colorful lights.
The annual Tree Lighting will take place on December 4 from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm in front of City Hall. All are welcome to take part, and further information is available on the city of West Sacramento’s website.
