West Sacramento will be introducing some changes to the upcoming Dine Downtown festival in early 2021.
Dine Downtown is a culinary experience where attendees can order special meals from participating local restaurants. The event initially began in 2005 as a way of driving traffic to eateries in the community. Businesses in the festival will create three-course Menus to highlight the talents of the city’s chefs.
This year, the organizers will be implementing some alterations to help the event abide by new pandemic-related indoor eating regulations. Restaurants will now have the option to offer their Dine Downtown Menus as a to-go option, and the business can decide what times their special Menus will be available.
The Downtown Sacramento Partnership will cover the administrative and printing fees for participating restaurants in the Downtown District boundaries, and costs for restaurants outside the boundaries have been reduced to $100. All businesses will be required to give five $50 gift cards to the organizers to support the festival’s marketing promotions. Companies that take part in culinary events like this can also advertise their involvement with flyer printing.
Dine Downtown has been extended to encompass the month of January, spanning the three weekends between the 8th and 24th. The new version of the event will also allow restaurants to offer their festival Menus at a flexible price point of either $25, $35, or $45.
