West Sacramento stadium to organize fundraiser

The Sutter Health Park stadium in West Sacramento will be holding a golfing event in May to raise funds for its charitable organization.

The 6th Annual River Cats Invitational is a fundraiser where businesses and golfers can come together to support the River Cats Foundation. The tournament will include multiple activities, such as a post-golf reception and silent auction. The cost of the event will cover each player's cart rentals and green fees. All participants also receive a goodie bag and complimentary range balls. Coordinators for golf fundraisers such as this may order promotional Pens to include in their swag Bags.

The River Cats Foundation first started in 2000 to provide the community with family and youth-based activities. The organization offers financial support to groups that put together programs for families in the Sacramento area. Eligible recipients must have been operating for at least two years and should be able to demonstrate financial stability. The foundation focuses on supporting groups that organize artistic, academic, and after-school programs.

The golfing competition will take place on Monday, May 23 at the Lincoln Hills Golf Club. Teams of four golfers may sign up for the tourney for $850. Businesses interested in sponsoring the invitational can pay between $500 to $1,500, with benefits including course signage and being acknowledged as a sponsor during the competition.
