West Sacramento will hold a fundraising race at Sutter Health Park in March to benefit an organization that helps cancer survivors.
The Shamrock’n 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Leprechaun Dash is a St. Patrick’s Day-themed activity where people can help raise money for those impacted by cancer. The sole beneficiary of the races will be the Triumph Cancer Foundation, which is a group that offers adult cancer survivors free rehabilitation programs to help participants regain their strength and stamina after their treatments. The fundraising goal of the event is $50,000. Organizations in charge of charitable events like this may use printing services to make ads that increase their fundraiser’s visibility.
Those participating in the fundraiser’s 5K, 10K, and half marathon will receive a commemorative short-sleeve technical shirt, a RiverCats game ticket, and a finisher medal. Participants who are of legal drinking age will also be rewarded with beer after completing their race. People can help during the event by volunteering for tasks such as assembling food Bags, monitoring the race course, and distributing water and medals to racers.
The Leprechaun Dash, 5K, and 10K will be held on Saturday, March 11, and the half marathon will take place on Sunday, March 12. The children’s dash will cost $20 to enter, and it will cost $70 to register for the 5K and 10K. Runners can join the half marathon for $95.
