The Arthur F. Turner Community Library in West Sacramento will be bringing in an instructor this February to educate people about practicing two Chinese disciplines.
The Therapeutic Tai Chi & Qigong event welcomes adults to participate in a session that guides guests through beneficial physical activities. Dr. Gigi Tze-yue Hu will be leading the course, teaching attendees about proper breathing exercises and movements. The class can help students with relieving stress, maintaining their balance, and preventing falls. Instructors with courses like this can use printing services to make Posters that advertise the class to locals.
Dr. Gigi Tze-yue Hu is a secretary of the US Collegiate Taiji Foundation (USCTF), which is an organization dedicated to teaching members of the community about how to practice Tai Chi. The group has held Tai Chi events in numerous cities throughout California, including Sunnyvale, San Jose, and El Monte. Past conferences by the USCTF featured presentations about the history of Tai Chi and how it can impact mental health.
The Therapeutic Tai Chi & Qigong event will be held on February 28 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. There is no fee to join the session, and reservations are not required. Dr. Gigi Tze-yue Hu will be holding an identical class the following month on March 27 for those unable to attend in February.
