West Sacramento invited to walk for MS

An event has been planned for the West Sacramento area that will help to raise funds for those living with multiple sclerosis.

The Walk MS: Sacramento will see both individuals and teams leave the North Steps of the state capital, which is at the corner of L Street and 10th Street and proceed along either the one kilometer route of the five kilometer route. There will also be a dog costume contest, and the MS Stars Show case will give those who are living with the condition a chance to showcase their talents. The Terry Sheets Band has agreed to play music to entertain those who take part. Mr. Sheets was diagnosed with MS over six years ago, and remarked that, though it can be a challenge, he has made it a goal to keep playing music onstage.

In order to help raise as much money as possible, an assortment of both national and local companies have agreed to lend a hand by either matching donations from their employees or sponsoring the event. These include Biogen, Sanofi Genzyme, Acorda, Subway, California Family Fitness, Healthline, Chuck Patterson Auto World, Stanford Hospital and Sutter Health. Poster printing can be used to create promotional materials for events such as this, and the names of the sponsors can be include to thank them for their help.

The Walk MS: Sacramento has been scheduled for April 16th. More information can be found on the event’s website.
