West Sacramento event to support autistic community

Jahri's World will organize a community event for autistic children in August at the Bryte & Broderick Community Center in West Sacramento.

The Backpack Drive Give-Away is an event where autistic children can receive support from the community while enjoying fun activities. Families can watch live performances from Miss Aly's Window and Dr. Paul D'Blue. People may support the event by donating school supplies, sensory items, and Backpacks. Organizations that hold giveaways like this may bring Promotional Products like stickers and Pens to their events to promote themselves to attendees.

Jahri's World is an educational and recreational program created in 2021 to connect with children with developmental disabilities. The founder of the program is Jerry Turner, a musical therapist who studied at Sacramento State. The songs performed by Jahri's World can help kids learn about academic topics and social-emotional concepts. Turner has created several original songs, including The Opposites Song for Kids, The Good Morning Song, and the Weekend Song. Jahri's World can be booked for small and large group performances for kids ages 3 to 11.

The community event will be on Saturday, August 10 from 11:00 am to noon. There is no cost for families to take part in the giveaway, though guests are asked to register for the fest before the event date. People can donate to the event up until the day it takes place.
