West Sacramento event set to empower women

The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) will organize a convention at the Lighthouse Charter School in West Sacramento.

The ACSA will hold an event in November that is part of its Women’s Leadership Network series. The program allows local educators to connect with other professionals in their field while learning from experienced guest speakers. The theme of the event is When She Leads, We Succeed. Attendees will learn about maintaining a work-life balance and networking support. The special guests for this year’s conference will include Dr. Cheryl Hildreth and Dr. Vajra Watson. Dr. Hildreth is the superintendent of the Washington Unified School District.

The ACSA is an organization for school leaders that serves over 17,000 local educators. The group is split into 19 regions throughout California. People who become regular members of the organization receive access to local networking events, publishing opportunities, and the group’s online career center. Membership to the ACSA is only open to California employees in educational agencies. Graduate students can also become members of the organization.

The Women’s Leadership Network conference will be held on Saturday, November 2nd from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Tickets to the event are $28.52 per person. Professionals who attend industry conferences similar to this may use business card printing to share their names, phone numbers, and emails with other attendees.
