West Sacramento dinner to showcase sustainable agriculture

Exploring the connection between the food on the table, the farmers who grow it, and the chefs who prepare it will be the focus of a February West Sacramento area dinner and reception.

Chef Patrick Mulvaney will be joining with farmer Thaddeus Barsotti to celebrate, in farm-to-fork style, what the local area has to offer. The evening will open with a wine reception with a variety of appetizers, and after this, the main meal will be served.

The four-course dinner, which will be presented to the attendees in a family environment, will showcase produce grown in Southern California on Capay Organic Farms. As the diners enjoy the food, they will have an opportunity to learn more about how it is grown and its journey from the field to their plate.

While the evening will focus on sustainability, it will also act as a fundraiser for The Kathleen Barsotti Non-Profit for Sustainable Agriculture. A local Print company will be able to supply Graphic Design Services and also a variety of printed products for an event like this.

This celebration of freshly grown and local food will be taking place on February 15 at Mulvaney's B&L Restaurant, which is located in Sacramento. The ticket price per diner has been set at $135.00 each, and more details can be found on the Farm Fresh to You website.
