West Sacramento cornhole event to help firefighters

Drakes: The Barn in West Sacramento will hold a cornhole competition in April to benefit the Firefighters Burn Institute.

The 2nd Annual Firefighters Burn Institute Cornhole Tournament is a community competition made by the California Cornhole Association. The event allows participants to raise money for a good cause while competing for cash prizes. There are several sponsorship tiers for the event that range from $500 to $2,000. The benefits of supporting the tourney include virtual logo recognition, brand representation on the event’s T-shirt, and being featured on the event Banners.

The Firefighters Burn Institute is an organization created in 1973 by Cliff Haskell, a captain of the Sacramento Fire Department. The mission of the group was to construct a burn treatment facility in the city. The organization created the UCDMC Regional Burn Center in 1974 with assistance from staff members at the University of California Davis Medical Center. The institute has many programs, such as the Burn Recovery Support Group, the Liaison Response Team, and the Youth Firesetter Program.

The cornhole competition will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Registration for a team of two players will cost $100. The event is family-friendly, and dogs are allowed at the venue. Organizations that hold community competitions similar to this may use Promotional Products to help them engage with attendees.
