West Sacramento blues fest to raise funds

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will be organizing a festival in West Sacramento.

The 2023 Sacramento NAACP Rhythm & Blues Festival is a community experience where people can listen to a talented lineup of artists while supporting a nonprofit organization. This year, guests will get to see performances from Johnny Bocat, Glenn Jones, and Tina Baltimore and the Soul-Line Dancers. There will also be food and non-food vendors to browse at the venue. This event will be held at the River Walk Park. Vendors interested in attending the fest must have a seller’s permit.

The Greater Sacramento NAACP is a civil rights organization that aims to make the area safer by uniting the community and addressing human issues. A few of the areas on which the group focuses are education, health, and economic stability. The NAACP hosts many types of events, including group breakfasts, leadership conferences, and business workshops. The organization also has programs that provide people with free vaccinations.

The NAACP’s music festival will take place on Saturday, September 2 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Tickets to the fest are $15 per person or $60 per family of five. Companies can pay $5,000 to sponsor the event and be featured on the fest’s promotional materials. Organizations like this may give out Corporate Gifts to the business owners who pay to sponsor their events.
