An event that has been scheduled for the West Sacramento area will bring together a variety of stakeholders to share best practices and shape policies when it comes to ensuring that every California resident has access to nutritious and affordable food.
During the CalFresh Forum 2017, participants will have an opportunity to network with other experts in the field of the distribution of food to members of vulnerable populations. In addition to this, there will be presentations by a variety of speakers who will be covering topics like how to increase participation in the program, how to identify someone who is vulnerable to experiencing food insecurity, and upcoming state changes to state legislation.
During the event, the winners of the 2017 Freshy Award will be announced, and the public is invited to vote for the recipient of their choice. Award certificates, plaques and other items of recognition for an event like this can be supplied by a printing company.
The symposium will be held on February 1 in the Tsokopoulos Library Galleria. The ticket price is $50.00 each, which includes a light lunch and refreshments. Those who would like to attend but are having trouble meeting the financial costs of doing so are asked to contact the event’s organizers through its website. They may be able to make arrangements so that the person will be able to participate.
