The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) will be organizing an in-person and virtual walk in West Sacramento.
The Sacramento Team Hope Walk is an event where people can raise funds for the HDSA. This year, the fundraising goal is $39,200. Participants will receive branded items from the organization as an incentive for earning money for the cause. Those who raise at least $30 for the charitable group will get an HDSA Team Hope T-shirt, and people who collect at least $200 will earn a commemorative baseball cap.
The in-person walk will be enforcing some safety regulations in response to the pandemic, such as requiring participants to sign an awareness waiver before attending the event. Guests are also expected to follow CDC social distancing guidelines and obey state policies for wearing masks. Signs will be set up around the event to promote protective measures like hand washing and mask-wearing. Organizers for public activities similar to this may use Print shops to create reminders for people to follow the venue’s safety regulations.
The walk will be held at River Walk Park on September 18 and will begin at 10:00 am. The activity is free to the public, and those who register can start their own fundraising team. People interested in supporting an existing group or individual can donate online on the HDSA’s event page.
