Those from West Sacramento who relish a chance to use their cameras, and who also have an interest in nature, are invited to take part in a special event that will combine the two.
West Coast Falconry and Mike’s Camera Sacramento will be hosting a three-part workshop that will provide classroom based instruction during the first session, which will be followed by a session of photographing the birds. The final one will be a time when those who took part can receive a critique of their efforts and see them used in a gallery opening that will take place in the store.
Participants will learn an assortment of techniques that can help them to get the best shots possible of birds who are perched in trees, as well as when they are flying. They will also receive tips about depth of field, exposure, panning, shutter speed, focusing and more, which they can then relate to wildlife photography. Booklet printing can be put to use in creating instructional materials for a course such as this.
The three-part workshop will be held over October 20, 22, and 24. The cost has been set at $99, which includes the processing fee and a fully matted 12x18 Print of their photo that was chosen for display in the store gallery.
