Those interested in improving their dancing skills can attend multiple workshops offered by a professional dancing duo in West Sacramento.
Dusk 'til Dawn, All-nighter Milonga with Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne is an event where people can learn from a professional couple while performing in the Spotlight Ballroom. The two-day program consists of six workshops, including Rhythm, Musicality & Phrasing, Sacadas of the Follow, and Ganchos of the Lead. A traditional tango session will be held in the ballroom, and a costume contest will take place during the program. Students will also learn about changing direction when dancing.
Giselle Anne is an accomplished dancer and choreographer who has performed in shows such as Los Solistas de D'Arienzo and Tango Argentino. She also founded a school in Spain known as the Casa del Tango. Gustavo Naveira is an instructor and performer who has developed teaching concepts that help students improve their understanding of tango dance. The duo met in 1995 and became a dancing couple. In 2013, they founded the Boulder Tango Studio.
The two-day dancing workshop will be held on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Tickets for the course start at $20 per person.
