Disney sequel to make a splash in West Sacramento
The Dive-In Movie event at the West Sacramento Recreation Center will screen Inside Out 2 for its next film.
The unique viewing experience allows participants to swim in a pool as they watch the movie, with water access available 30 minutes before the film starts.
People are encouraged to bring snacks, blankets, and swimsuits. The options include watching the movie while swimming from within the pool, or viewing it from the grass or pool deck areas.
The hour-and-a-half Inside Out 2 is rated PG and centers on Riley, who is navigating puberty as a 13 year old while also trying to balance friendships at a new high school and hockey camp. Making matters even more complicated is the introduction of new emotions, including Envy, Embarrassment, Anxiety, and Ennui. They join a cast of the previous cohort of emotions from the first movie, including Joy, Disgust, Fear, Sadness, and Anger.
Inside Out 2 was a smash hit when it was released in 2024, making $650 million at the global box office. Movie screenings like this may choose to use poster printing to show what is playing at the venue.
