Cycling series to host race in West Sacramento

Clipped In For Life will be organizing a bike race in October at River Walk Park in West Sacramento.

The Sacramento Cyclocross is a racing series where people can compete against other bikers on local courses. The West Sacramento Cyclocross Grand Prix will include features like a double-barrier obstacle, natural sand pits, and off-camber sections. There are many categories for the event, including Advanced Middle School Boys, the Women's Team Relay, and Single Speed Women. Competitors will have an opportunity to practice riding through the course.

Clipped In For Life is an organization looking to improve lives and bring people together by hosting athletic activities. The group also uses its events to spread the love of cycling to others. Some activities held by the organization include the CX Skills Clinic, Balance Bike Bash, and Folsom Grom Race. The organizers have volunteer opportunities available during their events. People can also support Clipped In For Life by buying merch or donating online.

The race date will be on Sunday, October 9 and will begin at 9:30 am. The cost to partake in one race during the cyclocross grand prix is $40 for adults and $25 for minors.
