Standing up for comedy in San Diego
A comedian best known for his deadpan delivery is coming to San Diego.
Todd Barry, a native of The Bronx, was raised in Florida and received a degree in English from the University of Florida. He began his career in the entertainment industry as a drummer in The Chant, an indie rock band, in 1984 and 1985, before turning to stand-up comedy.
As well as having a successful career in stand-up, Barry has made numerous television appearances, beginning with Comedy Central Presents in 1999. In 2002, he co-starred with H. Jon Benjamin in the short film “Borrowing Saffron,” which he also wrote and directed. He has appeared as a guest star on “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” “Tom Goes to the Mayor,” “Wonder Showzen,” “Space Ghost Coast to Coast,” “Home Movies,” and “Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.”
Now, however, he’s back on the road with his latest offering in the stand-up arena, promising a night of laughter for San Diego comedy fans. A review of Barry’s stand-up show says:
Todd Barry will be at San Diego’s Music Box on February 8. Organizers of shows like this will often take advantage of poster printing to promote them.

“Todd Barry is probably the most underrated standup comic working today. His crowd work shows are incredible, he’s able to be spontaneously funny at the drop of a hat every time. Don’t miss a chance to see him live.”
